The founding of YYachts is one of the many success stories of experienced sailing pioneer and boat builder Michael Schmidt. The concept lies in the combination of innovative carbon lightweight construction and easy handling with smart luxury and modern elegance. This makes the sailboats fast and sporty – at the same time they offer the luxury of elegant cruising yachts. Format Design developed the entire brand identity, from contributing to the strategy- and naming process, to developing the corporate design and product brand architecture, all the way to designing the comprehensive image and sales literature.
